Paintearth Economic Partnership Society (PEPS)

PEPS is a partnership of the County of Paintearth, Town of Castor, Town of Coronation, and Village of Halkirk.   PEPS is managed by a Board of Directors representing the municipalities involved.  PEPS  goal is to encourage and assist with potential and current Economic Development within the region.

Battle River Economic Opportunities Committee (BREOC)

BREOC is a collaborative partnership representing the County of Paintearth No.18 as the managing partner, Flagstaff County, the Towns of Castor and Coronation, the Villages of Forestburg, Halkirk and Heisler, and the greater region that surrounds them.  BREOC was formed as a result of changing economic conditions in the area that affect all the member municipalities.  ​ ​BREOC Initiatives Summary: 2-page PDF

BREOC operates the Battle River Innovation Centre (BRIC) in both Castor and Forestburg.

Battle River Alliance for Economic Development (BRAED)

BRAED is a group of 25 communities and five affiliate members in East-Central Alberta that work cooperatively and voluntarily to address community economic development issues from a regional perspective.
